"Andy Tex Jones has been writing house music for nearly 30 years now. His newest releases focuses on the style of dance music that was hot when he was a kid. Disco music. 'Do You Feel Me' is a sexy slow burner that reminds us of a time when disco blended with r&b, freestyle and pop music circa 1982. The track is raw and ultra catchy, with some perfectly placed sounds that help it give off a vintage sound but also a fresh one as well. 'Barefoot Dancer' is a slick blend of disco and house fusing together. You have the best of Disco elements while the house groove holds strong throughout. 'Disco Tales' should not be overlooked for being last, as we think it might be the coolest track of the three. The funky house sound is addictive and the samples work perfectly in it. Fresh from treating us to a killer collection of deep underground chuggers (last month's amusingly titled 'Chuggy Bear EP'), everyone's favourite disco Wookee returns with a quartet of lightly psychedelic, mind-mangling discoid treats. He starts in celebratory, here-comes-summer fashion on 'Above The Clouds', an expertly beefed-up, rearranged and positively pulsating re-imagining of a hybrid disco/Italo-disco workout with added electronic sleaze, before rearranging a Clavinet-heavy slab of late night disco release on the throbbing 'Always Dancin'. 'Keep On Keepin' On' dubs and tools up a stomping, pulse-quickening dark disco workout, while 'Sunday Lunch' sees the Bandolier boss add low-slung bass and Crooked Man style sonics to a wayward Italo-disco throb-job.

"Nu-disco's premier scalpel-wielding wookee is back on Bandolier. He's brought with him a quartet of tried-and-tested revisions aimed fairly and squarely at disco dancefloors. The Star Wars-loving re-editor hits the ground running with 'To The Disco', a typically trippy and lightly dubbed-out chunk of peak-time disco excitement, before beefing up a Clavinet-heavy slab of disco-funk weightiness ('Gettin' Heavy'). His love of slowly unfurling, low-end-heavy peak-time disco comes to the fore on 'Rollin' Down Town', where harmonic vocalisations, tight acid lines and echoing vocal snippets catch the ear, while 'Play The Game' is a filter-smothered chunk of loopy disco-house suspense."
