We really didn't expect such a positive response to this record so are very much appreciative of all the kind (and critical!) words and overwhelming feedback!!

Besides the "heads" his record seems to have also struck a chord (no pun intended!) with some ears outside of our very focused bubble which is always nice to see. We'll have to bottle and label this the "Sheba Q" effect!!

, &B and -Soul are all very strong influences on this record so it's always nice to get a little nod from those scenes but equally the answer will ALWAYS be NO to any requests for something less or with less - that's just not how we roll! 😊

Once again, MUCH love, MUCH gratitude and MUCH appreciation. ❤️

It's one of those records that tells many different stories and a tale of 2 continents. Extremely grateful to for lending her writing and vocal talents to elevate 2 'pleasant' instrumentals into 2 pieces of hypnotic aural art.

After a lengthy hiatus, we're (finally!) back at it with a new release on the not too distant horizon.

For 006 we welcome to the label renowned Sheba Q.

When she's not blessing the decks at clubs and festivals worldwide, Sheba Q is using her vocal gifts as a talented singer, songwriter and performer to weave intricate and imaginative tales that paint vivid and colourful images in her listener's minds.

She brings the element of this new release in collaboration with . A vibe that will continue where we left of; blending the deep spacious aesthetics of dub & dubstep with the emotional beauty of soul.

Experimental Bass Record Label Sub:Electronica | Sub:Soul | Deep:Step Sub:Clef is an experimental bass record label which explores the blurred genre boundaries of Early Dubstep, Neo Soul, Electronica and Dub, born in the cultural melting pot of South London.

Founded and curated by Chris James who produces under the alias Cid Poitier, the label is an incubator for bringing forth and challenging concepts of UK Sound System Music. Whether it’s a vocally hypnotic & atmospheric track, or a stripped back tribal number, the overarching ethos of the label is detail and intricacy at the lower end of the frequency spectrum while shying away from popular genre specific trends.

Groove, Bass and Soul are at the roots of what we are ALL about.
