Calling all early / mid-career filmmakers - we'll be launching applications for this year's SLG Film School (formerly RE:Creative Film School) very soon. SLG film school is London's only radical, free film course dedicated to supporting creative artist filmmakers from backgrounds underrepresented in the film industry. It's open to applicants from any background and age, as long as they can be in London during the course, are early to mid-career, and have a desire to be film directors working in creative, experimental, art, and other non-conventional forms of cinema. We're holding it in person this year, with fewer participants (10-12) so we can do social distancing, and it'll run November 7, 14, 21, 28 and December 5th. So please keep an eye out for the link when we launch, apply, share it far and wide, and send it to anyone you know personally who you think would be a good fit for it. The annual film school takes place at the South London Gallery across five sessions and is aimed at young filmmakers who would like to explore creative filmmaking.
