Highly lauded through his distingushed career, and hailed by the Telegraph as “potentially one of the greatest pianists of the 21st century”, Yevgeny Sudbin is true gem of the BIS roster. Next month he releases his 25th album on the label - Scriabin 'Vers La Flamme'. Today our spotlight shines on the most distinguised of conductors - Osmo Vänskä. For BIS, Osmo has recorded all of Mahler’s symphonies with the Minnesota Orchestra. The Fifth Symphony received a Grammy nomination for Best Orchestral Performance. Vänskä and Minnesota Orchestra have also recorded the complete symphonies of Beethoven and Sibelius to critical acclaim, winning a Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance in 2014 as well as being nominated on several occasions.
