OUT NOW: EREBE – “Duolithe”, Digital
In “Duolithe”, Erebe chart new territory with an ambitious two-track EP that straddles the lines between progressive post-metal, experimental electronics, and brooding, folk-infused textures. A seamless fusion of influences – from the crushing weight of Cult Of Luna to the intricacy of Opeth and the contemplative atmosphere of Karnivool – this release marks both a refinement and an expansion of the French collective’s sonic formula.

“Duolithe” is not merely a prelude to Erebe’s upcoming second full-length – it stands as a statement in its own right. The EP channels a wide range of emotional and philosophical undercurrents, exploring themes of solitude, identity, and the unrelenting passage of time. Literary influences from Cormac McCarthy’s The Passenger and Stella Maris, as well as Lauren Groff’s The Vaster Wilds, lend the record a quiet gravity – a sense of existential stillness in the face of internal and external collapse.
Erebe commented:
“Duolithe” gave us the chance to push the boundaries of the EREBE sound through a fully collaborative writing session ahead of finalising our second LP. These two tracks present the band as close as possible to our live identity, while introducing new elements such as acoustic guitar and modular synthesisers. We also placed greater emphasis on the vocals, which now carry even more emotional depth.
We're proud to share this EP with you through Silent Future Recordings – a label that has supported us since “AEON” and continues to embody an honest, exploratory vision of music.
