Norrsinnt returns with Djupt inni skoga, a haunting blend of dark folk and cinematic atmosphere. The esoteric solo project of Mathias Gyllengahm (Utmarken), it turns inward toward solitude, reflection, and nature mysticism.

The album weaves dark folk, ambient, and atmospheric metal, where clean vocals and distorted guitars meet the mournful tones of the nyckelharpa. Founded in 1989 by Tony “IT” Särkkä, Abruptum stood apart from the black metal wave they emerged from. The first glimpse of Änterbila’s upcoming album “Avart”, due for release on November 14, comes in the form of “Smeden” – a furious ode to the blacksmith as both craftsman and mythic figure. In Scandinavian folklore, the smith was more than a tradesman: a liminal being said to bargain with the Devil, dance with spirits, and fall for forest nymphs.

Driven by relentless momentum, “Smeden” captures the heat and pressure of the forge – riffs blazing like sparks from the anvil, rhythms pounding with the urgency of hammer on steel. It is a track that offers little respite, an ironclad assault steeped in smoke, fire, and old superstition.
