Kia has knocked the ball out of the park with the Sorento because the Rs. 30-40 lakh price range has almost no option and the Sorento sits right there, being a perfect upgrade from a Seltos or a Creta!

Prices of the Kia Sorento start at Rs. 34.07 lakhs and go up to Rs. 46.86 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).

Many don't want to buy Indian cars because of the reliability and service related issues and thus the Kia Sorento will eat into sales of the Harrier, Safari and XUV 7XO!

I always believe competition is a good thing and the Kia Sorento is not just a great all-round package, it's tactical positioning by Kia even though sister concern Hyundai failed to make the Tucson a commercial success!

The Skoda Superb is back and it’s powered by a diesel engine!

Finally the VW Group is bringing back diesel but the big and heavy Superb TDI just produces 147 HP which will make it efficient but not fast like the TSI which is much more powerful!

While it’s a CBU, the India-EU FTA should help in an attractive price!
