I want to take a minute to celebrate the importance of very good concept art. Here are four images by the wonderful Niklas Wallén at Important Looking Pirates VFX They served as artistic beacons for us as we pushed towards some of the full CG views of the Mattis Fort in the Netflix series “Ronja the Robbers daughter” Even though the design changed over time before the final result was built, lit, rendered and comped the essence of the emotion was there from the start for everyone to fall back on. Don’t overlook the incredible power of a common vision early in production… it will keep you on the right path when things starts swaying. ❤️

Finally! After two years of hard work my dear friends at Important Looking Pirates are allowed to showcase the Amazing work they’ve done on Ronja the robbers daughter. Absolute Stellar work and a phenomenal experience for me as the Production Vfx supervisor. Lots of ❤️ . Please enjoy part 1. More to come later.
