A friend informed me that the following quote was included TRICYCLE Magazine and features in the highlights section sent to subscribers:
"If we fantasize and dwell on all the wonderful possible fruits we could enjoy on the path, such as happiness or inner peace, or even insight and awakening, it will have an inhibiting effect on our practice. It is better to let go of all such thoughts, and instead enjoy the moments of stillness and contentment that inevitably arise from time to time. Instead of seeing awakening or enlightenment as a distant goal, which we make a lot of sacrifices to achieve, we can see our spontaneous moments of compassion and equanimity as small moments of awakening."
