Lot's of buzz for the new single from The Blue Velvets

Blue Velvets are a rock n roll, rockabilly country blues band, based out in Berlin, Germany. Fronted by a Canadian singer and backed by two local lads on bass and drums. This creates one of the most dynamic trios in the rockin world right now. They have now signed with Enviken Records that offer this as their first release. Both tracks Written by Alister Christl and recorded at Moe's Rockin chair Studio, Berlin cover work/design by Mario.

One can only say, for a first release it just doesn’t get any better. A superb blend of talent that is definitely walking the walk with the sound doing their talking. Intro puts you straight in the mood for some Rockin with the guitar giving us some stunning riffs along with the drums. Bass thumps out the heartbeat whilst the Vocals are nothing less than spot on. Put them altogether and you sure do have that sign you have been waiting for.

They band don’t let up on giving you a refreshing sound. Another Rockin track from the very start that reminds me of the first time I heard the stray cats back in the 80s. the tweaking of the guitar strings before a thunderous drum joins the intro, the bass jumps straight into your ears slapping your heart into rhythm. Once again fantastic vocals from the writer of the track, demonstrating his capabilities with the pen.

Summary
New bands, trios, duos are formed every month or so, but every now and then a sound will break through that just gives you goosebumps. Blue Velvet are one of those bands. They really are what it says on the tin. Playing a mixture of country, rock n roll and roots music. Alister who is from Canada is giving us a treat with his songwriting and guitar skill, whilst both Mario and Ralph prove why they have been around with such bands as Spo-dee-o-dee, The Rob Ryan Roadshow, The Lazy Boys, Rosis Rockets and Johnny Falstaff. A full album with all original tracks is planned for later in the year and if these two tracks are anything to go by. We are in for a real treat.
