Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra still have a few stops left on their 2025 European tour.

The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences recently held a meeting welcoming Milab Microphones, featuring speaker Mattias Strömberg (Milab Microphones) and moderated by Hannah Fraley. Attendees got an inside look at Milab’s history, their groundbreaking rectangular capsule design, and their meticulous handmade microphone craftsmanship.

One standout moment? Learning that the Milab VIP-50—used by legends like Quincy Jones, Bruce Swedien, and prominently on Michael Jackson’s Dangerous—remains one of their most iconic microphones. The session wrapped up with a hands-on demo, giving attendees the chance to experience Milab’s innovative designs firsthand.
