🎭 Loa Falkman in Chess In Concert 🎭

Dalhalla will come alive with the unforgettable melodies of the musical Chess in an exclusive concert version at Sweden’s most stunning outdoor venue. For four unique evenings under the open sky, some of the country’s top musical artists will bring the timeless score to life, accompanied by Dalasinfoniettan and Dalasinfoniettan’s choir, all conducted by the renowned Anders Eljas.

Loa Falkman shines as Molotov, sharing the stage with Philip Jalmelid as Anatoly, Tuva B Larsen as Florence, Peter Johansson as Freddie, and Malena Tuvung as Svetlana.

🎭 Opera Sing-Along with Rickard Söderberg at the Birgit Nilsson Festival 🎭
At 17:00 today, Rickard will lead an Opera Sing-Along in the courtyard of the Birgit Nilsson Museum.

Together with Elinor Fryklund and Malmö Opera’s Children’s Choir, he will present a joyful programme for the whole family.

🎶 In Jussi’s Footsteps 🎶 Joachim Bäckström will be performing today at the Birgit Nilsson Festival together with pianist Elena Jordan.
As the title suggests, this programme is a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Jussi Björling, featuring Swedish songs he loved to perform.

After yesterday’s successful role debut as Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Christina Nilsson - Soprano returns to the stage tonight as Freia in Das Rheingold — a role she first performed in summer 2024 at Bayreuther Festspiele - Bayreuth Festival

The performance is conducted by Simone Young and directed by Valentin Schwarz.

This marks the house debut of director Jan Philipp Gloger, and the first brand‑new production under Christian Thielemann as General Music Director—an honorary position once held by Strauss himself.
