"The Midsummer Dance"

A new self portrait taken a few days ago at 3am in Iceland - a place where, at this time of year, the sunsets and sunrises merge together, the golden midnight light lasting for hours. Well… when it’s not raining, that is. This was maybe our one colourful sunset/sunrise in our entire 3 weeks here! 🤣

I just wrapped up two beautiful back-to-back creative retreats here, and gosh, I have no words for how full my heart feels. Being able to bring small groups of creatives together to chase beauty, collaborate together and make art has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Watching our beautiful humans stepping into their power, embracing the elements and themselves, has been incredible to witness. I am in awe of the inspiring humanity of each person, just as much as I am in awe of the landscapes we’ve been surrounded by these last few weeks. 🥹❤️

And now, I am back in Canada and absolutely, completely, physically and emotionally exhausted. 😂 Time to catch up on some serious introvert time for the next two months at least. 😂 …But also to carry forward the inspiration and creative energy that feels so alive and potent after the last few weeks. I am just feeling so very grateful. 🥰

Day 2. butttt it’s actually almost a month, 25 days from the first draft.

And I just finished it.

Between Day 1 and Day 2, I was like
“Will I ever pick up on the page and continue it? Will I be able to finish it? I don’t even know how to draw leaves? I don’t have the mood, the time , the whatever it is =)”

Yet, today I return to it.
Feel good though. A good try. At least.

The ugly bitter truth of life. Such a great piece of review, especially this part "When we allow ourselves to understand that struggle is an integral part of life, we begin to navigate with deeper understanding and clarity. As you lose yourself in these pages, you will learn the importance of showing yourself grace and allowing yourself to feel and rest and look for light whenever it grows dim.
