Grind to Death Records is going on hiatus for the unforeseeable future.
As many of you Grind to Death Records is a one man show and this past year I got a promotion at work, which means added responsibility and more traveling. At the same time, I am getting my second child any day now. More work, more travel, more kids = less time for passion projects. I don’t like doing anything half-arsed, it’s bad for business and it’s specifically not right with the bands I work with as they deserve nothing but the full attention.
When will Grind to Death Records release a new album? I don’t know, it could be in a year, several years or even never at this point. Time will tell.
I want to thank all the bands I’ve worked with over the years, promoters, festivals and fans who’ve supported the label. Without you Grind to Death Records wouldn’t have happened and been active for over five years. It’s been a pure pleasure to work with the Nordic scene and bring forward new and upcoming talent.
I will close the Bandcamp store near Christmas, so be sure to buy what you want there soon. Everything on the page is at a discounted price until the page is down. The remaining stock and distro will be up on Discogs.
Stay safe and support your local scene!
