In 1980, Suzanne Ciani stepped onto late-night television and brought modular synthesis into millions of living rooms. This moment on The David Letterman Show wasn’t just a performance - it was a glimpse into a future sound.
Working with Buchla synthesizers, Ciani helped define electronic music as something tactile, emotional and expressive at a time when the technology was still largely unexplored. Her approach treated sound as a physical material, shaped by hands, movement and intuition.

Long before electronic music filled clubs and festivals, Suzanne Ciani showed that machines could feel human - and that electronic sound could be art.

Inspired by the lasting impact of I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix), the producers set out to craft an updated interpretation that fits today’s dancefloor energy while preserving the emotional core of the original.

As they put it:
“We had a blast playing ‘The Magician’ remix for years, and we wanted to create an updated version that would seamlessly fit into our sets. So, we gave it an Afro House vibe with darker vocals and a deeper groove.”
