Happy to share some news about what has been keeping us busy lately! Fox in the Snow is currently coproducing a major international film with Brazil, MARTA - a biopic portraying the journey of football legend Marta Vieira da Silva, who started her career in Umeå IK at only 17 years old, putting her on a path to become the world’s best football player of all time.

The brilliant Brazilian star Alice Carvalho, recently seen in “The Secret Agent”, plays the lead role as Marta and the film is directed by Andrucha Waddington, one of Brazil’s most prominent directors.

The shoot started in Luleå a few weeks ago, but will continue in Brazil and Sweden in the coming months.

We are very proud and happy for this first collaboration with one of Brazil’s leading film companies, , who produces the film in coproduction with Globo Filmes and Globo TV in Brazil, as well as for the great support of our partner and coproducer in Sweden.
The Swedish distribution is handled by , for a wide release scheduled in Spring 2027, ahead of the next Women’s World Cup that will take place in Brazil.

Very happy that our project SWEDISH ALIEN by filmmaker has been selected to be part of the collection of short documentaries HIGHLIGHTS, in coproduction with Swedish tv SVT and regional fund Film I Skåne. Looking forward to produce this bold, personal and very important film about identity, belonging and migration policies. Thanks and ✨✨✨
