The Stockholm archipelago’s most southern point, Landsort is actually the name of the lighthouse on Öja Island’s southernmost promontory. Öja is a long, narrow island, about 4 km (2.5 miles) long and 600 meters (1/3 mile) wide, with nice walking paths from north to south. The island’s hostel is open year round, and it is just as exciting to visit Landsort in the fall or winter as it is during the summer. It is also a popular place for bird watching.
