The Elven camp quickly came alive.

Weapons were gathered, supplies packed, and horses prepared. Before the day was over, the Elven forces were already on the move.

The sudden change of plans would soon bring the two allied armies together in a single camp.

Humans and Elves, side by side.

And dangerously close to an enemy that had been watching them from the darkness all along.

"Prepare the horses."

The White Queen's command came without hesitation.

"Gather the army. We leave for Zeratul's camp immediately."

Around her, the Elves sprang into motion.

Plans had changed.

And when their Queen gave such an order, there was no question of delay.

The White Queen had already sensed that something was wrong.

When Elverra arrived and explained what had happened, that uneasy feeling finally found its answer.

The situation was far worse than she had expected.

Zeratul needed her help.

And whatever had happened to Drezzila was serious enough for him to abandon every other plan and call for the Queen herself.

There was no time for hesitation.

As they crossed the village, Elverra's thoughts were already racing ahead.

I still need to prepare the army... inform the champions... make certain everyone is ready to move.

She could feel it now more strongly than before.

Something dark lingered in the air.

War was no longer approaching.

It was already beginning.

#342 Chapter V - Whispers of War

"Do not waste time. Tell me everything."

Elverra listened carefully, her expression growing more serious with every word.

When the messenger finished, she immediately rose.

"I will inform the Queen. We leave for Zeratul's camp as soon as possible."

She reached into a small pouch and drew out two enchanted stones. The moment they touched her palm, both began to glow.

With a graceful motion, she tossed them toward the nearby braziers.

The oil burst into flame, filling the shrine with warm light.

"Come. We have no time to lose."

Together, they hurried toward the Queen.

Elverra noticed the messenger the moment he entered the shrine.

In truth, she had sensed his presence long before he crossed the doorway.

She stopped her training and slowly turned toward him.

One look at his face was enough.

Whatever news he carried...

it was not good.

It’s completely not the style of the fantasy world I’m building here, but I’m curious how many of you enjoy the mix of fantasy magic + guns. Personally I don’t mind it, it just doesn’t fit the vision for Drezzila for example, but overall you can build some really cool characters with a full arsenal available. 😊
