In the the old days up North, In magical Scandinavian forests, some dating wasn't just about flowers and flirting — it was about survival for some men. The forest creatures were beautiful, wild, and completely unpredictable. Some men, that took the chance, discovered forbidden magical love and powers... Other men were never seen again.

This short fantasy tale explores the ancient (and slightly absurd) dating rituals once used to court these Magical forest beings — from whispering to dryads, to never, NEVER run away from a moss maiden or any other beautiful forest being, for that matter. mythical creatures.

Many men who sought love in the forest thought they were ready. But the truth is, nothing prepares you for a jealous vine spirit or a banshee with trust issues. In this part of our journey through the magical realms, we revisit stories of those who failed — and a few who strangely succeeded.
