Bäst i test (TV4)

Kari Heino Audio Engineered and DJ’d the eleventh 2025 season of “Bäst i test”, the Swedish version of the internationally known TV-show “Taskmaster”, which has been a huge hit in Sweden.

The production took place the 24th of January – 7th of February 2025 in Filmhuset, Stockholm and it had a very creative, wholesome and playful atmosphere – all about having fun! Looking so much forward to seeing the final result, and working on the next season of this awesome show!

F***y & Alexander (SVT)

Kari Heino Audio Engineered the TV-production of the famous Ingmar Bergman play F***y & Alexander for SVT with Erik Olhester the 4th – 6th of November 2024 at Teater Galeasen in Stockholm, Sweden.

The play had an incredibly talented cast and gorgeous lighting and set design, and is now available to watch on SVT Play the 24th of January – 24th of July 2025. An amazing play that is a must see!

Champions League (Viaplay)

Viaplay Group has reacquired the broadcasting rights of UEFA Champions League starting with the 2024-2025 season, and Kari Heino has been Audio Engineering the TV6 and Viaplay studio productions since December 2024.

Kari has previously Audio Engineered Champions League for Viaplay during 2010-2020. A very sleek and high-end broadcast with lots of incredible football teams facing each other internationally!

Premier League (Amazon Prime Video)

The 13:00-15:40 CET Premier League football match (West Ham vs Chelsea) the 21st of September 2024 was Kari Heino’s (Upright Sounds) first live broadcast on Amazon Prime Video from Viaplay Studio 3, with Niklas Jihde, Jonas Olsson and Lars Lagerbäck in the studio. Kari Heino has been Audio Engineering the Premier League for Viaplay since 2010.

Kristallen 2024 (Swedish Emmy Awards)

The 5th of September 2024 the “Handball Championships on Viaplay” won “Kristallen” (The Crystal) for “Best Sports Production Of The Year 2024”, which is the Swedish equivalent of winning a category in the Emmy (TV) Awards.

Kari Heino (Upright Sounds) was Head Audio Engineer (A-Sound/A-ljud) and Broadcast Mixer for both of Viaplay’s Handball Championship broadcasts, which were the Women’s Handball World Championships in December 2023 and the Men’s Handball European Championships in January 2024.

”Mästarnas Mästare” also won Kristallen for “Best Competition Reality Of The Year 2024”. Kari Heino (Upright Sounds) Audio Engineered Mästarnas Mästare 2020-2023 for Meter Television and SVT.

NHL Stanley Cup Final 2024 (Viaplay)

This was Kari Heino’s 11th season of audio engineering the NHL (National Hockey League) broadcasts for Viaplay (since 2013). The season concluded with the yearly Stanley Cup Finals, this time between Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers the 8th – 24th of June 2024.

The finals were really intense, as all the best of seven games were played, with Edmonton making a huge comeback after being down 0-3, finally resulting in 4-3 to Florida. It was a great time watching both the Finnish and Swedish star players in their respective teams!

Fråga Lund 2024 (SVT)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino audio engineered and DJ’d another amazing season of Fråga Lund for NEP Sweden/Nexiko/SVT the 29th of May – 7th of June 2024 (previously audio engineered & DJ’d seasons 2019 & 2021-2023). A truly rare gem of a TV-show that has been around since 1962!

ELLE-galan 2024 (YouTube)

This was Kari Heino’s fourth time working as Audio Engineer at the live broadcasted glamorous ELLE-gala, which was hosted in the lavish Grand Hôtel in Stockholm, Sweden the 19th of April! The annually recurring gala is a fashion awards show, similar to the Oscars, but for the Swedish fashion industry.

Viaplay Vinter (TV6)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino was hired to audio engineer this season’s Viaplay winter sports live broadcasts the 24th of November 2023 – 23rd of March 2024. The broadcasts consisted of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup among other events, that took place in many locations such as Canmore (Canada), Ruka & Lahti (Finland), Östersund & Falun (Sweden), Trondheim (Norway), Oberhof (Germany), Davos (Switzerland), and Toblach & Val di Fiemme (Italy).

This was an exceptionally beautiful and exciting project to work on, with many world class athletes and medalists from both Sweden and Finland!

Women’s Handball World Championship 2023 (TV6)

Upright Sounds / Kari Heino remotely audio engineered (mixed) the Viaplay and TV6 onsite studio broadcasts of the 2023 Women’s Handball World Championship from Viaplay Studios’ control room 1 in Stockholm, equipped with a Lawo MC56 Mark 3 audio mixer, during the 1st – 17th of December.

The host, experts, reporters and commentators were onsite at the arena in Gothenburg, Sweden for the group stages, and later at the second arena in Herning, Denmark for the finals. A successful set of broadcasts and a wonderful tournament to witness!
