Save Bodil the Australian Shepherd!
Help me save Dubbie's sister Bodil. 🐾
Some days ago I got the news that one of Dubbie’s sister, Bodil, needs to find a new home.
As I got more involved in the situation, the more I wanted to make sure Bodil got away from the home she is living in now.
The current owner doesn't want to sell for less than Bodil’s price as a puppy (which is a laughing matter asking for that amount for a dog you want to give up on).
Poor Bodil, only 11 months old, like Dubbie. The current owner has doubts Bodil can become a therapy dog and thus wants to sell Bodil… or give up on her… no more comments on this.
Poor Bodil is in a tricky period of her development and growth. Now is when she should feel the most safe, have a family that loves her, be surrounded by dogs and people where she can build confidence and blossom.
At 11 months is not the time to give up on ANY dog.
I want to offer her a family she can stay at, for all her years. With me and Dubbie.
I am dedicated to providing Bodil with a safe and loving family—Dubbie and I are more than willing to welcome her into our home. However, the costs associated with getting a new puppy, including insurance, crates, and food, are a bit more than I had in my current budget. While I'll purchase Bodil to secure her well-being, I anticipate financial difficulties ahead.
If you might have any means to support us, Bodil, financially, any contribution—no matter how small—would be appreciated. I have a list of items needed for her care, with, ofc, top priority to pay for her, ensuring she is well insured and has food in the bowl.
(Let me know if you want to see the list of prices and what I plan to buy. Some items are not in priority but I want her to have the same means as Dubbie).
The breeder, thankfully, has shown incredible kindness by offering to transport Bodil across the country to my apartment. While the current owner appears disinterested in Bodil's well-being or future, not even sending her off with her own leash or harness.
Despite my reasonable offer for Bodil, I ultimately will pay the full amount that's been asked, to guarantee she will come home to me and Dubbie, with lots of love and someone not giving up on this beautiful girl. The price shouldn’t matter but if it does. We will make it work!
As of now, Bodil will arrive on Saturday (29th of June) and I will keep the fundraising open till 13th of July.
