20 years ago today I played my second ever gig in Sweden, in the basement club of (the now unfortunately closed) Medusa in Stockholm's 'Old Town'!
Other Swedish underground heroes also on the lineup that night were Lazar 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', Tobbe 'Ego-T', Robban 'Pladask' & Millan 'Miss Logic'.

I'd been dj-ing on and off for just a couple of years so I was still a relatively new dj and I'd only been living in Sweden for a few months. My then partner's brother, Patrick 'Piskan', showed me the Swedish party scene and gave me a 'golden introduction' to Medusa's club night organiser, Lazar (L.S.D) Silvergren, who gave me a shot the very next week and essentially kick-started my 'career' here. (HUGE thanks for that!)

I remember being quite nervous as the club decks were new to me and I was kind of learning the equipment on the go. I don't remember exactly what the decks were but something similar to the old Denon DN D4500 MKII I believe.

After that successful first gig I was invited back to play again a few weeks later and I decided to record the set live onto my Sony MiniDisc player(!). When I listened back to it later I noticed a few small mixing and volume level mistakes here and there so the perfectionist in me decided it wasn't good enough to share and the minidisc has sat in a cupboard collecting dust since then!

Now though, 20 years later to the day, I thought it might be fun to share this little snapshot into the past. Hope you enjoy it! :)
