⚠️ Meta’s AI just became the hacker’s new target

Meta spent months bragging that AI had cut Instagram account hacks by 30%. Now critics say hackers have found a shortcut: instead of tricking users, they’re allegedly tricking the AI.

According to reports, attackers are manipulating Meta’s AI support agent into sending password reset links and making account changes without needing to crack 2FA, steal passwords, or pass selfie verification.

Even high-profile accounts linked to the U.S. Space Force and the Obama White House have reportedly been caught up in the wave of compromises.

The twist? The AI isn’t breaking into accounts itself. The concern is that hackers may be exploiting the trust and permissions Meta gave the AI support system.

That creates a worrying new reality: if an AI agent has the power to change your account, attacking the AI could become easier than attacking you.

🔥NVIDIA released its most powerful open AI model for robotaxis

NVIDIA just unveiled its most advanced open-source driving AI yet: Alpamayo 2 Super. At 32 billion parameters, it’s three times larger than its predecessor and designed to handle the messy reality of real-world driving.

The model can track everything happening around a vehicle in 360°, understand complex road situations in 3D, predict what other drivers might do next, and make split-second decisions like when to merge, yield, or brake.

One of the biggest upgrades isn’t even behind the wheel: the AI can automatically label enormous amounts of driving footage, turning a process that once took teams of humans months into something that can be done in days.

Perhaps most importantly, the model can explain the reasoning behind its decisions, a critical step for building trust in autonomous vehicles.

I’m honestly flabbergasted by the direction Ugandan social media is taking lately. While countries like Kenya are pushing technology and innovation content, and Nigeria is leading powerful conversations around AI and digital opportunities, Uganda is still heavily consumed by lifestyle drama, sympathy content, and endless “kibozi bozi.”

We have talented creators, creative minds, and massive potential. Imagine if we invested more energy into content that educates, builds businesses, teaches skills, and prepares young people for the future digital economy.

Social media is no longer just for entertainment. It’s a tool for influence, income, innovation, and transformation.

Uganda doesn’t lack talent. We lack direction.
