Haha Sthlm is a design company based in Stockholm that works with furniture, interior and product design. Haha’s biggest ambitions is to make great design more accessible for the everyday person. By the means of small scale production, and a more face to face approach with both the producers and the user, they try to create a more sustainable approach that benefits both ends of the design domain.

The notion of honesty, fair play and quality are questions that Haha often play with in order to create beautiful and intellectual works.

Crafted with precision spin-pressing, this fixture features a two-layer, powder-coated shell in contrasting interior and exterior hues—maximizing a warm, even glow throughout the space. We designed and crafted custom chandeliers for .stockholm drawing inspiration from Spanish Gothic architecture and Gaudí. Each piece features special acrylic church glass sourced from Germany and a custom bronze structured paint finish. Follow the process, from production to final installation, here.

For Tegellådan brewery we also designed a bigger lighting piece. Hanging down from the 5-meter ceiling, the lighting fixture has an engraved pattern of wine openers along its side panels. The wine openers gradually raise their ”hands” as if doing the wave as an audience 🌊🌊🌊

This draws inspiration from the founding architect of the building, Ferdinand Boberg, who often would incorporate fun and unusual pattern sequences in his buildings. The lighting fixture is an homage to his legacy and the building where the brewery stands 🧱🧱🧱

We had the privilege to design and produce a set of super custom pendant lights for Tegellådan Brewery in Stockholm 🍺

A set of raw aluminum lights that cast a beer glass shadow down on the tables beneath.

Laughter is instinctive, it can be understood by all of us, regardless of the language we speak.

HAHA studio is the Stockholm- based design practice founded by Arash Eskafi and Yujin Chiang in 2015. Hailing from different cultures— Scandinavia and East Asia— the studio is in constant search of what can be understood by all of us. Like laughter, HAHA relies on fundamental shapes, choice materials and universal truths to design their iconic work. To create objects that all of us have an instinctive response to, HAHA works hand in hand with craftspeople in Sweden and Taiwan. The practice designs lighting fixtures, accessories, limited editions, and undertakes regular collaborations in interior architecture.

The studio's work has been presented by Vitra, FRACAS Gallery, Raumplan, Biennale Interieur and Stockholm Furniture Fair. In 2018 HAHA received the prestigious work grant from the Swedish Arts Committee to further the definition of Scandinavian design. They have also showcased their work internationally in Brussels, Denmark, London, Milan, New York, and Shanghai.
