Starting today, Jorgen Madsen Lindemann has been appointed new CEO of Viaplay Group.

Jorgen is the former CEO of MTG, which previously was the parent company of Viaplay Group, also listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Jorgen spent over 26 years within MTG holding various senior leadership roles, including overseeing the Nordic and international operations, as well as being in charge of acquiring and producing sports rights. ⚽️⛳️

📣 Exciting News! We’re adapting Jens Lapidus’s gripping bestseller ‘Paradis City' as a thrilling Viaplay Series, featuring an incredible cast of Nordic screen talents. Set in a not-too-distant future in Sweden, ‘Paradis City' stars Alexander Abdallah (’Snabba Cash'; 'Love Me’) and Julia Ragnarsson ('End of Summer'; 'Spring Tide’). Jens Lapidus, who has sold over 5 million books translated into more than 30 languages – including the internationally acclaimed 'Snabba Cash' trilogy – joins as an executive producer.🤩

In this six-part show, Sweden's most deprived areas are surrounded by walls and subject to special laws claiming to safeguard the rest of society. Great news! We have agreed a landmark partnership with the International Handball Federation (IHF) that makes the streaming service home to the IHF’s hugely popular competitions in 10 European countries until 2031🤩🤾‍♀️

Fans will be able to stream more than 40 IHF events live and exclusively on Viaplay over the coming years, including all upcoming IHF Women’s and Men’s World Championships 🌟

🎬 A notorious biker-gang war in 1980s Copenhagen forms the backdrop for Viaplay’s ‘Bullsh*t’, an unconventional coming-of-age drama headlined by some of Denmark’s biggest screen talents.

Created and written by Milad Alami, Bo Hr. Hansen and Molly Malene Stensgaard, the six-part series is based on a bestselling book by Camilla Stockmann and Janus Køster-Rasmussen 🚀

‘Bullsh*t’ is produced by Nordisk Film Creative Alliance and is set to premiere exclusively on Viaplay in 2023.

We’re exited to announce that we have agreed a multi-market, multi-year device partnership with Hisense’s fast-growing Smart TV platform VIDAA🤩✨

Our streaming service app will be pre-installed on all Hisense Smart TVs sold in Viaplay’s current direct-to-consumer markets and in North America, where Viaplay will launch in early 2023🚀

The Viaplay app will receive premium placement in the Hisense user interface, and a dedicated Viaplay button will be added to all new Hisense TV remote control units sold in the Nordic region.
