Between 2 and 7 February, the Swedish national team will take part in the Culinary Olympics 2024, Stuttgart, Germany.
We at Johannas are thrilled to supply the team with our salads, leafy greens and a special secret ingredient (which we cannot yet reveal!).
This is what the team wrote about us in their publicity material:
“Johannas Stadsodlingar is a foodtech company that works with a circular cultivation system called aquaponics. They mainly focus on vegetables and leafy greens such as salad, herbs and cabbage. We were truly inspired by their holistic approach and commitment to developing the future of food production, and we really wanted to showcase their fantastic salad.
We visited Johannas Stadsodlingar ahead of the Culinary World Cup 2022, where we collaborated with them for that championship as well. What became evident during our visit is how much they care about their product from start to finish and how they are true enthusiasts, always open to taking on new challenges. Our collaboration has allowed us to learn a lot about future cultivation methods, and our hope is that more people become aware of this. The salad that we use is still in a growing stage when we receive it. We can then harvest the salad right when we need to use it, minimizing food waste and ensuring that the product is in its best condition when it is served.”
