The famous Swedish explorer and filmmaker Mikael Strandberg is now deep in Kyrgyzstan’s Celestial Mountains more than 2.000 meters over the sea level, with his daughters Eva (15) and Dana (13) not far from the Kazakhstan-China border and almost cut off from the world.

Their hike will become the documentary No Map for Growing Up. When Eva was seven she nearly lost her sight in a Greenland storm, so Mikael raced thousands of kilometres by bike through Sweden, Turkey and Namibia to let her and Dana see the world while they still could. Eight years later the girls steer the route and the camera, trekking with one pack-horse and no roadmap.

This is the first ever Swedish- Kyrgyz co-production film project in the making, which we co-produce with Adilet Karzhoev.

Our new documentary project starts its international journey! Institute of Documentary Film has selected "+7: Scamming for Revenge" to Ex. Oriente workshop. The first session will take place in Sheffield during Sheffield DocFest!

Besides pitching our documentary film project Letters to my Creator at Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries, Uldis Cekulis and I will also moderate one of the themed round tables at the Forum's Producers meet Producers event. It will be dedicated to co-production with the Baltics and countries near the Black Sea.

Our creative documentary film project Letters to my Creator, which we co-produce together with VFS Films (Latvia), has been selected to be pitched at Nordisk Panorama Forum!
This is the story about the first ever in the human history complete s*x change operation, conducted in the Soviet Union for about 55 years ago. Captured on a 8 mm amateur film camera!

The future documentary film “After Ukraine: Putin’s Next Targets” - work in progress.

Our film team is shooting today in the Estonian border town of Narva.
The marching NATO troops just a few hundred meters away from Russia; the closed border crossing point because of the recent Russians’ hybrid attack on Estonia; and thousands of ethnic Russians living in Narva, who keep being mentally, culturally and politically connected to Russia - watching the NATO soldiers marching on their streets…

This is what the Estonian Prime-minister Kaja Kallas wrote on her Instagram page:
“Today we are celebrating Victory Day in Estonia.
It is a reminder that maintaining freedom requires tireless work. Estonia's own War of Independence also shows how quickly things on the front can change and freedom prevail.
We must keep this in mind to help Ukraine win.”
