Magnus John Anderson releases “Bye for now” – an epilogue to YDRE
Swedish composer and pianist Magnus John Anderson releases the bonus track “Bye for now” on June 3 – a closing piece connected to his third album Ydre, released on January 21.
While Ydre moves through landscape and memory, Bye for now lingers as a quiet afterglow.
“It’s not a final goodbye,” says Anderson.
“It’s more like leaving a place and knowing it will stay with you.”
Bye for now is performed with an intimate piano unfolding alongside subtle electronic textures by Jan Strand, moving in a hopeful flow and guided by a strong, uplifting melodic theme.
