Take a look inside The Root Cabin ☀️

On the cover of enki’s latest issue is a pre-fabricated cabin built amongst the olive groves of Zakynthos, Greece from Kasawoo Ltd. Better recognised for its intriguing auburn exterior, here we offer you a look behind the cladding.

Crafted within the bijoux proportions of the 2.5m x 8m build, the interiors are an exercise in micro living. Maximising the limited floor space, sustainably sourced plywood lines the walls, floors and ceilings, while also sculpting essential furniture.

Revealing its best kept secret, finally shares its highly coveted paint palette with the unveiling of a limited-edition collection crafted by 👏

Set within the bones of a Victorian townhouse, sees mid-century motifs collide with contemporary colour play - as an audacious palette of pinks crafts a series of interiors that have not only put the seaside stay on the map, but have it pinned to the top of many a Pinterest board.

Yet despite its drenching of rosy hues, the design cleverly side steps Barbie House. Instead, the pared-back palette of only six hues evokes the spirit of coastal living and pays homage to Margate with each colour lovingly named after a local hotspot.

ad Bringing the vision of architects to life, manufacture and construct a timber-frame home of three volumes.

Stacked but staggered, each of the flat-roofed blocks is defined by its external facade with vertical timber cladding providing a rhythmic contrast to grey mineral rendering.

Turning the traditional floor-plan on its head, this six-bedroom dwelling sees the guests rooms settle on the ground floor while the main living spaces perch between the trees, benefitting from natural light that filters in through floor-to-ceiling windows and glass roof panes.

Oliver Rehm, CEO speaks on the project, “this bespoke home takes prefab construction to a new level. We successfully adapted the distinctive design by architects to our Baufritz modular system, using natural materials that contrast and interact with the leafy surroundings.”
