Longevity of performance and quality in production is primary at Stranda. We start out with good wood, selecting the best bits, keeping A-grade straight grain lumber. Then painstakingly cutting and gluing them to Stranda
cores at the factory. A slow growing hardwood with a bending strength 2.2 times compared to poplar, the most common wood used. The majority of our solids uses bamboo veneer topsheets, adding both to ride quality, sustainability and look. The RIDE
We do not believe in downsizing on edge length. There’s a direct connection to how much weight a board can hold in a clean carved turn, in relation to how much edge is in contact with the snow. WHERE WE COME FROM
Our roots are firmly planted in the Scandinavian Mountains where you can ride powder straight out into the North Sea. But also experience some of the iciest conditions possible, that’s why we shape for bad snow and optimize edgehold.
