Happy New Year 🧡 Hope you’re off to a good start ✨

We’ve been a bit quiet the last few weeks. We took a proper break from both work and Instagram and spent our days up in Northern Sweden skiing ❄️⛷️

Watching the kids out there has been the best part. Walter suddenly looks like he’s been doing it forever, and Ava’s very first time on skis went way better than we expected, tiny fearless little naturals. 😍🙈

Simple days, lots of snow, and exactly what we needed. 😍🥳❄️

Evening plans: pizza by the mast crane! 🍕 Why here, you ask? We know some of you have been wondering what’s going on… Well, we’ve made the bittersweet decision to live on land for a while, hopefully not for too long! In the meantime, we’ll take the chance to give the rig, Blackjack, and a few other “fun” things a proper check-up 😅 We also have some projects inside that make it a bit tricky to live onboard at the same time, so we’re really trying to focus on the bright side of this sad decision 🥲

With that said, we’ll keep you posted about all our projects. Maybe we can even find some time to finally tell you more about the watermaker and lithium battery projects. We were thinking of some kind of Q&A or walkthrough, just get in touch if you have any special requests ☺️ And please, send us some love, we really need the cheering up 🥲🧡

November morning and –6°C outside. ❄️☀️ Stepping out of our sailboat today hit a bit different… a quiet, fairytale kind of morning here in Sweden. How beautiful?!

They said, “Sailing season is over.” We said, “Hold my wool socks, bonus time is coming!” 😁❄️ Winter is approaching here in Sweden, and we couldn’t help scrolling through some favorites from the camera roll.

Living on a boat or not, we’ll always be ambassadors for extending the boating season. Who said sailing season in Sweden is only from May to August? 🧡⛵️

🇸🇪 ❄️ Vintern närmar sig här i Sverige, och vi kunde inte låta bli att bläddra igenom några favoriter från kamerarullen. Vi kommer alltid vara ambassadörer för att förlänga säsongen. Vem har sagt att båtsäsongen i Sverige bara är från maj till augusti? 🧡⛵️

We left Byxelkrok early this morning and faced a tough day at sea, 74 nautical miles in straight headwind and choppy seas. We decided to tuck into one of our favorite harbors, Kristianopel (south of Sweden). Such a charming spot, full of atmosphere and character. ⛵️

Happy birthday Ava! 1 year old 😱🧡

How did that happen so fast?! One whole year with you, and what a wild, wonderful ride it’s been. You’re already showing us who’s boss. Full of energy, sass, and cheeky smiles. We’re so impressed by your wobbly little steps, especially since the floor is always rocking or tilted. We can’t wait to see you let go of the furniture, though we’re bracing ourselves for the chaos. Will you be as turbo-charged as your big brother? 🙈😅🧡

Either way, you are clearly born for this life: sea legs before baby legs! 😎⛵️We love you to the moon and back (preferably downwind 😜) 🥰

Our crew is growing, and we’re not talking about the kids! 😜

A big welcome to all our new followers, we’re so happy you’ve found your way here. 🧡

We’re Isabelle, Gabriel, Walter, and Ava, a Swedish family who chose to step off the beaten path and live our everyday life on the water. What started with a tiny sailboat, to a bigger one shared with friends, has now turned into our own floating home and a lifestyle we love (even on the hard days).

Over the past few years, we’ve seen the european canals, explored the Baltic sea, and learned a lot about boats, weather, and parenting in small spaces. Today, we’re living aboard our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39i and are still learning and chasing that mix of adventure and simplicity. 😍

Thanks for following along, we’re so glad to have you aboard. Let’s see where the next adventure takes us! 🧡⛵️
