RadioHeatwave Ngee Ann Poly Singapore's most established campus and first radio station. Radio Heatwave broadcasts live from Ngee Ann Polytechnic via the intranet at www.radioheatwave.com.

It is run by final-year students from the School of Film & Media Studies, with the support of student jocks from all schools. The station is home to local music and an array of genres including K-pop, Alternative, Indie, Rock, R&B and all the chart-toppers that our students can’t live without. We also cover concerts, plays, festivals, press conferences, parties and get celebrities/artistes to our

studios so that you can hear from them. Established in 1992, Radio Heatwave has helped kick start the radio careers of some of today’s most popular radio personalities such as Sonia Chew, Gerald Koh, Jean Danker, Justin Ang, Vernetta Lopez, Joshua Simon, Kimberly Tan, Michael Tan and many more. Meet Riona, our Station Manager and the gal who keeps Radio Heatwave running like a well-oiled machine! 🌟 Known for her incredible organisational skills, she’s the one who ensures chaos never stands a chance around here. 📋✨With a flair for detail, she juggles projects like a pro, proving that multitasking is an art form!

When she’s not busy being the mastermind behind the scenes, you might find her bingeing her guilty pleasure show Doctor Who or vibing to her favourite artists, DPR Live and MICO, setting the perfect soundtrack for those productive workdays. 🎶 Whether it’s curating playlists or brainstorming creative ideas, her passion for music shines through in everything she does!

Her motto? “If you’re early, you’re on time; if you’re on time, you’re late; if you’re late, then you might as well not come.” So, punctuality is practically her love language! ⏰💖Her friends say she’s wonderfully loud (in the best way), and she’s always ready to cheer on her teammates, keeping the spirit high! 🎉

You know that one friend who laughs at their own jokes? Yeah…that’s our vibrant and goofy Social Media Head, Jiaxuan! 🤣🌷🤪

She might seem shy at first, but don’t be fooled…she’s actually the ultimate yapper…(with a questionable sense of humor) and will NOT shut up especially when it’s about Lay Zhang or her fav shows. 🥸 Fun fact, she has a looooong list in her notes app to keep track of all the shows she has watched so if you ever need drama recommendations - whether it’s kdrama, cdrama, reality shows…you know who to look for. 👀📺 Or she’ll probably try to brainwash you to watch her favourite “Shining For One Thing” anyways. 💫😭

When she’s not hopping between cafes, she’s either hopping between concerts or countries 🏃🏻‍♀️ Fun fact 2, her highest record was 3 concerts in a week, crazy gal😅💥 She’s the real epitome of “happy can already” YOLO. 🤟🏻💃🏻

Ever met someone who laughs at everything—even at the wrong moments? Well, that’s probably Naomi, our Social Media and Client Relations Manager! ✨

Friends would tell you she’s lowkey crazy (and laughs at everything) and they might be onto something because she’s the ultimate enabler who’ll drag you into a TikTok trend whether you like it or not! 🤓 She’s sorry but ! 📸🤟

Being our client relations manager, Naomi also gets in touch and handles our client matters to lighten our SM’s load! 🫶🏻 She’s gonna be a pro email sender by the end of this semester. 📧

When she’s not busy hanging out with her loved ones, you’ll find her making Gracie Abrams covers on her guitar, on the field spinning Touch Rugby balls 🏉 and at the gym 🏋️ (when she feels like it).

Being a social butterfly, she’s probably more out than at home and “treats the house like a hotel” (quoted by her mum), she also loves chill nights in with good home-cooked food and her dawgs! 🐶Fun fact: don’t bring jackfruit near her; she’s allergic…very strange! 🤣

With a mantra of “good vibes, high tides, and everything happens for a reason,” ✌️🌊 Naomi spreads positivity and laughs wherever she goes.

You’d probably find Medha daydreaming or travelling in her quest for hidden gems and the cutest cats! 🌍🎒 Always on the move to do something new, you’d better catch her before she’s off again! When she’s not wandering corners of the world, she brings her cheerful spirit to the team as our Social Media Manager. 🎨✨

Medha is all about making spirited connections—always down to listen to you yap or chat about anything under the sun. With a blend of spontaneity and a dash of mischief, she lives by the motto “whatever, whenever.” She seems cryptic at first but her friends know she’s probably just busy scheming her next adventure! 💃🌊

And let’s not forget her secret talent: she picks up languages faster than you can say “bonjour!” 🗣️💫 Medha may not be a fan of the colour pink, but she has a quirky obsession with pink drinks (or maybe just Bandung…) which is why this post is all about that lively hue!

Heard a scream in the distance? Don’t panic! That’s probably our Events & Promotions Head, Kaye, obsessing over her fur baby’s pictures that take up 99.9% of storage space. 😜🫰🏼

Aside from pondering about the future (Kaye’s biggest dream is to travel around the world with her dog) 🚀🌎, she enjoys taking long hikes or going for a swim. Best is the combination of all three! 🧘🏻‍♀️

Despite having a questionable sense of humour (just look at her TikTok FYP… Actually, don’t 💀), Kaye assures to give the best advice to anyone who needs it 🦅🔥

Outside of work, Aaron’s passions include gaming, getting lost in a good book, and growing his quirky collection of “dumb” shirts (the dumber, the better!). 🎮📚👕 But let’s not forget—he’s also a huge white shirt enthusiast.

Meet Alisa, our fabulous Music and Production Head! 🎶💖 If you’re looking for a social butterfly who’s anything but nonchalant, you’ve found her! Known for her bubbly personality and a volume that could rival a concert, Alisa is as unique as they come—yes, we mean wonderfully weird! 😜

When she’s not orchestrating epic soundscapes, you can find her front row at concerts, splurging on tickets, or dazzling everyone with her makeup skills. 🎤💄 And let’s not forget her guilty pleasure: binge-watching Criminal Minds and Law & Order: SVU! 🔍📺
