Life hack from Handy Johnny
#1. LCD display from the same/close generation of laptops ( like year 2015-2018 for example) are inter-swappable.

Below is how I frankenstein a LCD display from a faulty motherboard set to a working set with a faulty LCD.

The only difference is that, you may not have the previous "LED" HD display or touch screen function, but at least I don't need to spend money on resources.

Was wondering why during class, my laptop's CPU and GPU is running at 80 degrees with max fan

Root cause: The OEM thermal grease was "caking", resulting in losing its thermal conductivity properties.

Remove the old grease and reapply with the new one. Can last over the duration of my course liao!
