🥢 Came across this newly opened gem - Zhong Ji Noodle! Tried their Dumpling Spinach Noodles for $4.50, and wow—the meaty dumplings, paired with the fragrant chilli, really pack a punch. The noodles have that perfect QQ bouncy too. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area

Came across this plain and normal-looking dessert truck tucked in a parking lot near the iconic Small Boss Lok Lok 小老板碌碌 place 🍢

Tried their Ice Kacang for RM6.50 - a sweet treat with lovely crunchy peanuts and two attap seeds nestled inside. Simple and nostalgic; a bit on the sweeter side, but definitely worth a try if you're around the area! 🍧✨

Came across a super old-school kopitiam in JB that serves surprisingly good Hakka Lei Cha-and yes, it was so comforting we packed extra for the family!

What makes it fun?
✅ Free-flow of salty preserved radish (菜圃 cài pǔ) on the table-just a heads-up, it might be intense salty for the elderly so don't add too much.
✅ Yong Tau Foo station—walk up near the counter and kiap your favourites!
✅ Generous portions of green and pounded soup that hit the spot.

The fish was a little firm, but crispy and fresh. Not gourmet, but definitely homely and satisfying. The location’s a bit out of way, but if you're craving Thunder Tea Rice with nostalgic vibes, this spot might worth the detour. ✨

Came across this zhichar 煮炒 spot near KSL! The entrance is right beside the fruit stalls at Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre - also known as 大马花园 for those familiar with the area.

Comfort food with a homely taste. Highly recommend going early to avoid long waits during the dinner crowd. Overheard the crabs are sold out pretty early. There’s outdoor seating too, but it can be quite hot around sunset.

Loved the friendliness of the serving staff, from the young to the elderly. They’re not pushy when taking orders and will happily recommend their signature dishes. Fresh seafood is definitely a big highlight here.

The toilet situation is also a mess and dirty with 30 cents per entry, and my companion encountered an uncle lingering near the ladies’ toilet, which couldn’t be locked. Staff recommend us to visit the toilet near the petrol kiosk instead.

Still feels surreal to be part of that adorable moment in history. From Hello Kitty, stamps to heartland memories, it’s been a journey of joy and nostalgia.

Came across this superb value $68++ Kaiseki Omakase - damn worth it! 🍣 Highly recommend for you to make a reservation before heading down, as it's an intimate sushi bar where the Chef crafts the dishes in front of you.
