Meet Jian Ping Lim, Co-Founder and Creator of Rehabify, a startup reimagining how seniors experience physiotherapy. The idea began while Jian Ping was experimenting with computer vision and discovering how engaging movement-controlled games could be. After speaking with physiotherapists, a clear problem emerged: many seniors skip their prescribed exercises simply because they’re boring. Rehabify was born from a simple but powerful goal — to make physiotherapy genuinely fun through games.

In the early days, the team initially focused on youths recovering from sports injuries. But that assumption quickly changed. Younger patients were already motivated to complete their rehab. Seniors, on the other hand, needed far more engagement and consistency to keep moving. That insight reshaped Rehabify’s direction, pushing the team to design games and systems specifically tailored to seniors, where exercise feels less like a task and more like play.

Rehabify’s pace of ex*****on is driven by its team culture. Made up of engineers and students, the team prototypes quickly, tests features in real environments, and improves based on direct feedback. With access to school resources and support from Singapore Polytechnic, the team has the freedom to experiment, learn fast, and iterate safely. That flexibility has been key to continuously refining the product.

Looking ahead, Rehabify’s next big milestone is ambitious and deeply impact-driven. The team aims to bring Rehabify into 90% of Active Ageing Centres in Singapore, helping seniors see exercise not as a chore, but as something enjoyable they look forward to. If successful, this would mark a meaningful step toward creating a nationwide shift in how senior rehabilitation is experienced.

Meet Michel de Rijk, Co-Founder of Kredit Hero, a startup born from a very real pain point in the Philippines. Applying for an SME loan is often slow, repetitive, and unclear, while lenders on the other side struggle with incomplete documents, non-standard formats, and time-consuming manual reviews. Kredit Hero set out to fix both sides by building a single platform that streamlines loan applications for SMEs and delivers fast, accurate, AI-ready data to lenders so they can make better credit decisions.

As the team began building, an early insight reshaped their approach. SMEs were not just dealing with too much paperwork, many of their financial documents were not standardized or digitally ready. At the same time, lender credit teams were manually reviewing thick bank statements, making it difficult to spot important details or irregularities. This pushed Kredit Hero to go beyond digitising documents and instead build tools that clean, structure, and interpret data. Their platform draws correlations, surfaces anomalies, and flags potential fraud to support smarter and faster approvals.

Culture plays a big role in how Kredit Hero executes. The team operates with speed, transparency, and empathy for both SMEs and lenders. One of the founders, Scott, previously ran an NBFL in the Philippines and Mexico, giving the team firsthand insight into how lenders operate and where real bottlenecks exist. Combined with deep experience in financing, this allows the team to listen closely, iterate quickly, and build solutions that work in real credit environments.

Looking ahead, the next major milestone for Kredit Hero is expanding across Asia so more SMEs can access fast, data-driven financing. In parallel, the team is continuing to advance its AI engine to equip lenders with better tools and intelligence. Each step brings them closer to reshaping how small and medium businesses secure the capital that fuels their growth.
