It’s not ‘goodbye’… it’s ‘see you later’.

Bittersweet moment as I met up with my business partner turned buddy. It has been a roller coaster ride and both of us has seen each other through the ups and downs in this journey. I have been blessed by her support.

Nevertheless, I’m mad proud of her for being brave enough to go after her dreams.

Though we will be in different continents, thank God for the ease of connectivity that we have through the Internet.

We will see each other again, and we will keep in touch.

A young man he is.

My eldest left for his very first overseas tournament yesterday, and the first time that he is going overseas on his own (with other team mates) and we couldn’t go with him as we were both working.

But it won’t be long!

Thankfully today is a public holiday and we are going there to support him!! Thankfully we won’t miss this milestone!

How many more milestones will we miss? I am working on my Plan B to ensure that I have the flexibility to be present for all these proud moments for my children.

Blessed to be able to have breakfast with the 2 of them on a weekday morning, and to make time to attend Parent Teacher Meeting.

It may seem trivial but to be able to attend in person hopefully shows my child that he is important to us and that we will make time no matter how busy we are.

Countdown to our next family holiday!!

We have 2 lined up. One has been in the pipeline for 6 months, and the other is an accidental one as my eldest son is involved in a tournament in a neighbouring country.

I am glad that we do have some extra finances to say, YES, let’s go as a family to support him in the tournament.

That is why, I believe in having a side hustle to have more income for indulgences like this.

In a time where everything is expensive, I still want to give my children the best experiences that we can afford.

Hustle now, enjoy later!

If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree 🌲.

Timely reminder, before we step into the new month.

Most of us stay in our 9-5, because it is stable.

Because we are in our comfort zone.

Because it is familiar.

Because it is risk free.

If you are fine with it, sure.

But some of us want the time flexibility.

We want to be to have financial freedom.

We want to be there for our kids without having to ask for permission from our bosses.

Then we will have move. If having a safety net is the priority, then start a side hustle first. Who knows, the Plan B will be Plan A one day.

Almost the weekend!

It’s not everyday that we can have some time for a breakfast date as we are always rushing for work.

Which brings me back to why I’m always thinking of building a side hustle so that I can have more flexibility in life. I want to choose what I want to do, and when to do it!

And why not, when unintentionally, you can also develop new skills and experience which can be valuable in future job opportunities 😊

Sometimes it can feel like a lot. But we only have 24 hours in a day and only about 16 waking hours. Better make full use of it now, and enjoy later.

Hello!

It’s back to work week and I’m slowly getting back into the routine after all the excitement and feasting.

It’s been hectic but fun, and always a stretch to get back to serious business. 🙊

But lucky for me, my side hustle is still working in the background non stop, holidays or not. And it’s always ready for me whenever I am ready to step on the gear.

For now, I’m gonna enjoy some relaxing and quiet lunch time before I get back to work later.

Super hot day 🫠

Lucky I have a fan to keep myself cool while waiting here.

My colleague commented that I’m an ‘auntie’ as I’m always prepared with wet wipes, a fan, umbrella, water bottle and Vicks (for the occasional headache or sneezing fit).

I used to be upset if someone calls me an ‘auntie’ but now I graciously accept it 😁 I am more self assured and care less about what others think.

Likewise, when people often have that smirk when they hear of me trying hard to be an entrepreneur, I let it go.

“Why bother when you have a stable income?”

It’s okay if they don’t understand. If I set my intentions right, I know that great things will come.

Proud mama supporting my eldest son, who played a full match even though he is fasting.

He was initially worried that he might be too thirsty or could not last through the match.

I told him that he should just try his best and just trust and listen to his body. There was absolutely no pressure to do anything beyond what he could manage.

Not only did he last through the full match, he also played quite well 😊 To top it off, he still felt well after the match.

I’m glad he didn’t give up and I wished that he learnt an important life lesson - Never say you can’t, until you give it a try.

𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭!

We’ve been sitting on this little project for about 2 months now. We’ve wanted to start after this, after that, and making many excuses.

But with Hari Raya only 2 weeks away, the men in the house just went ahead and did it, and even though the mess was more than before, the project is now 99% completed!

There is really no perfect timing for anything, the best time is NOW.

So stop making excuses, just start. The mess will be there anyway, but there will be progress too!

After working hard for the past few weeks, I can finally breathe and enjoy the long weekend!

So happy that I did well for the work assignment and now I shall reward myself with some binge watching on Netflix and snooze!

But first, gonna have some family time and explore the Ramadhan bazaar at Geylang Serai later.
