[A Story of Music, Culture, and Spirit]

It began with the rhythmic pulse of a procession, echoing through the air—a powerful tribute to Mahakali herself. On that unforgettable day, the Singhanagara Contemporary Orchestra, Singapore’s very own Indian Contemporary Orchestra, came to life as part of Kannamma: Beyond the Line and Rhymes.

Picture this: A breathtaking fusion of contemporary and traditional sounds, weaving a symphony that transcends time. Inspired by the stirring lines of Bharathiyar’s "யாதுமாகி நின்றாய்...", the orchestra beautifully captured his devotion and love for Kali, touching the hearts of everyone in the room. Rooted in the rich heritage of Indian music yet uniquely Singaporean, the Singhanagara Contemporary Orchestra celebrates culture, poetry, and spirit through a harmonious blend of diverse influences.

Here’s a short glimpse of that magical concert—a performance that redefined the way we experience poetry and music.

Watch, feel, and join us in celebrating this journey!
