By the power of the Holy Spirit,
we pray, almighty God,
make us docile in believing the faith
and courageous in confessing it,
just as you granted Saint Sixtus and his companions
that they might lay down their lives
for the sake of your word and in witness to Jesus.
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
(from The Roman Missal)

St. Cajetan, you lovingly provided financial assistance to the unemployed and often went without in order to bless the families of the unemployed with the basic necessities of life. Pray dear saint for all those who are currently unemployed and seeking employment, especially (name person).

"It was Mary who first adored the Incarnate Word. He was in her womb, and no one on earth knew of it. Oh! how well was our Lord served in Mary's virginal womb! Never has He found a ciborium, a golden vase more precious or purer than was Mary's womb! Mary's adoration was more pleasing to Him than that of all the Angels. The Lord 'hath set His tabernacle in the sun,' says the Psalmist. The sun is Mary's heart," and "Mary is the aurora of the beautiful Sun of Justice."

“May I gain no victory that harms me or my opponent. May I reconcile friends who are mad at each other. May I, insofar as I can, give all necessary help to my friends and to all who are in need. May I never fail a friend in trouble."

"When we see a beautiful object, a beautiful garden, or a beautiful flower, let us think that there we behold a ray of the infinite beauty of God, who has given existence to that object."
- St Alphonsus Liguori, Bishop and Founder of The Congregation Of The Most Holy Redeemer
Feast: 1st Aug

Glorious St Alphonsus,
loving Father of the poor and sick,
all your life you devoted yourself,
with a heroic charity,
to lighten their spiritual and bodily miseries.
Full of confidence in your tender pity for the sick,
since you yourself patiently borne the cross of illness,
I come to you for help in my present need…
(Share your request…)
Loving father of the suffering, St Alphonsus,
look with compassion upon me in my suffering.
Ask God to give me good health.
If it is not God’s will,
then give me the strength to bear my cross patiently
and to offer my sufferings with my crucified Saviour
and his Mother of Sorrows,
for the glory of God and the salvation of souls,
in reparation for my sins and those of others,
for the needs of this troubled world,
and the Holy Souls in purgatory. Amen.

“Each of us is called to be both a sacrifice to God and His priest.
Do not forfeit what divine authority confers on you.
Put on the garment of holiness,
gird yourself with the belt of chastity.
Let Christ be your helmet,
let the cross on your forehead be your unfailing protection.
Your breastplate should be the knowledge of God
that He Himself has given you.
Keep burning continually the sweet smelling incense of prayer.
Take up the sword of the Spirit.
Let your heart be an altar.
Then, with full confidence in God, present your body for sacrifice.
God desires not death but faith;
God thirsts not for blood but for self-surrender;
God is appeased not by slaughter but by the offering of your free will.”
- St Peter Chrysologus , Bishop and Doctor
