Vilangu Wrap Up.
2023 was all about Vilangu for VIP Productions. Our 3rd production and the most challenging programme we have produced thus far.
Almost ¾ of the year, 9 whole months from December 2022 to August 2023, was fully spent on conceptualizing, writing, producing, filming, editing, packaging and completely creating Vilangu. These 9 months were almost like conceiving and delivering a baby. But it was a labour of love and Vilangu will always be a special baby to us.
VIP would like to thank everyone- the cast, crew and production team for all the efforts each of you put into Vilangu. Thank you to every cast member for bringing your respective character to life and making it your own.
Thank you to our Annaa and team for always standing as a strong technical support for ViP and working hard through our long and challenging shoots.
Our post-production team were the unsung heroes of this project. Thank you to our editor , co-editor Rohith and sound designer Praveen for working tirelessly day and night for almost 6 weeks to meet our tight timeline.
Thank you to our colourist , for delivering episodes at an amazing speed. Thank you, and for the soulful scores that you provided within the limited timeframes.
Thank you to everyone in the production team who worked so hard and put in so much effort to make Vilangu what it became.
Special mention to our commissioning editor, for the guidance and support throughout the production.
Very importantly, our sincere thanks to and for coming on board to support Vilangu. Vilangu is possibly the first fictional drama series to be filmed within an active, real-time prison.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the aid of SPS and YRSG. Our heartfelt gratitude.
