I just wrapped up a 3-day āGen AI for Marketersā course with the marketing team from FairPrice Group and Iāll be honest, I walked into Day 1 with a fair bit of apprehension.
For one, FairPrice is a big brand.
Secondly, this was a group of seasoned marketers who were sharp, experienced, and already fairly well-versed in AI.
Thirdly, in the first 10 minutes of class, I found out many of them had already attended other AI courses before mine š±
My first thought: āJialat⦠what more value can I add?ā
Doubts crept in - What if my content was too basic? What if they got bored? What if I couldnāt meet their learning outcomes?
But hereās what I learnt:
Training is not about having all the answers upfront. Itās about pathfinding - figuring out what your learners already know, and where the gaps are.
Itās not about showing how much you know, but about creating space for discussion, exploration, and application.
When in doubt, lean on curiosity. Probe, ask questions, and adapt. Thatās where the real learning happens.
By the end of Day 3, those doubts had faded. We had rich conversations, uncovered practical AI applications (perhaps you might seem some real world campaigns applied soon). And the teamās feedback was a 4.8/5 rating, which reassured me that I had done my job.
The biggest takeaway for me? Doubt isnāt a weakness. It can be a signal to listen harder, adapt better, and focus on creating real value.
Big thank you for putting your trust in me and for being such amazing learners!
