Are these the weirdest sized tyres on a production car? The rear tyres on the legendary Lamborghini Countach are Pirelli P Zeros in an incredible 345/35 R15 in size - which means the wheels are larger in width than diameter!

The BAC Singapore & Malaysia Mono R is the most extreme car ever to wear number plates. It's cool enough that it wears specially-developed Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres (205/40R17 front, 255/40R17 rear), but it's also got lightweight hybrid wheels from Dymag - alloy centres bolted to carbonfibre barrels.

With 340hp from its 2.5-litre, 8,800rpm 4cyl engine and a weight of just 555kg, its power-weight ratio is up in hypercar territory, while its central seating position, open cockpit, race car pushrod suspension, F3-spec sequential manual gearbox, and graphene-infused carbonfibre body all mark it out as a Formula race car for the road.

Bridgestone has just debuted its newest summer touring or comfort tyre, the Turanza 6. It replaces the T005, and has already proven better than key competitors in wet performance, which should be of interest given Singapore's rainy weather... Full details here:

Even after 8500km of extremely tough driving from motoring journalists and customers alike, the Bridgestone Tyre Singapore Potenza Sports on this Audi RS3 have held up very well!

As you can see from the wear on the tyre shoulder, many people have *ahem* 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘥 the RS3's dynamic delights. But despite that, the RS3 still felt like it cornered on rails, the tyres showing no hint of diminished grip during our time with the car.

The new Audi RS3 is one of the best handling cars ever to wear the four rings. Key to that is the RS Rear Torque Splitter, a function of the all-wheel drive system that can send power specifically to the outside rear wheel during cornering, which means it'll turn into a rabid drift monster if you want it to.

It also helps that the RS3 comes as standard with AUTA's 2022 Tyre of the Year, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport. Interestingly, they're wider at the front (265/30R19) than the rear (245/35R19), which certainly helps contribute to its lively handling...

The Mercedes-Benz EQS is quite unlike any electric car that's come before. Not only is it the most luxurious EV around, it's also got the longest legs, with up to 760km of range. That's mostly due to its huge 108kWh battery, but also its incredibly low aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.23cd - the lowest for any production car ever. The flagship AMG EQS53 model also runs on specially developed Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres, in a monster 275/35R22 size.

that the tyres used in ABB Formula E are closer to road tyres than race tyres? To reduce the quantity of tyres needed each race weekend, the Michelin Pilot Sport EV that the series uses has grooves and a tread pattern similar to Pilot Sport 4/5 street tyres, which means they can be used no matter how hot, cold, wet or dry the conditions are
