Hey minna~!

Our club was featured in an article for the February issue of 月刊 遠州, a magazine which talks about Enshu-ryu Sado. The article talked about part of our OEP trip to Japan where we were hosted by the Gakushuin Girls University as well as Kyoritsu Girls Middle School. Please do give it a read! ☺️

明けまして おめでとう ございます!
Happy New Year!

今年も宜しくお願いします!
Please take care of us this year as well!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On December 2017, NTU Sado Club organized an OEP trip to Japan for the students to learn more about the origins of the Japanese tea ceremony, especially the winter ceremony.

We have visited the Enshu-ryu Iemoto's dojo, Gakushuin Girls University, Kyouritsu Girls Middle School, Toyama University, and Unebi High School.

Thank you for hosting and entertaining us!
We have learnt a lot and it has made this trip a lot more meaningful.
We hope to see you all again soon! 😊

On 4th March, Sado Club was able to host visitors and the public during NTU's open house together with Japanese Appreciation Club. Many junior college and polytechnic graduates came, and so we chose 夢 (Dream) as the theme and Shion (紫苑) which represented remembrance. The message we wanted to convey to these teenagers is despite the difficulties, never forget your dreams. We were honoured to be able to host a variety of guests from different background and culture. Special thanks to Japanese Appreciation Club and the Student Union for helping us out so much for this event.

On 1st March, we are excited to have our sister club, NUS Sado Club 「シンガポール国立大学茶道部」 over at NTU for the reciprocal visit. The members knew each other already, and it was a very comfortable event. Host (亭主) for the day was Vice-president Yi Hun Chui who chose the theme 因縁, while Vice-president Yvonne Tan performed the Ippuku ceremony for our NUS Sado Club friends. It was an honour to be able to host NUS Sado Club, and it was a very memorable day for all of us. We look forward to future annual visits.
