I finally checked out the 6-month-old American Express Centurion Lounge before flying out – and yes, the live sushi bar is the star of the show.
If I’m flying out of Haneda, this is what I’d want to know before visiting:

Access – American Express Platinum and Centurion Card Members

Location – Haneda Airport, Terminal 3 (airside, after immigration – check terminal signs)

Highlight – Made-to-order sushi prepared fresh at the counter

Food – Japanese and Western hot dishes, small plates, desserts

Drinks – Full bar with cocktails, champagne, sake and Japanese whisky

Seating – Spacious, calm, and well-designed for pre-flight downtime

Best time to visit – the sushi bar opens at 4pm!

It’s one of those lounges that actually feels like a destination, not just a waiting room. If you’ve got access and time before your flight, it’s 100% worth arriving early!

I had to go try the Ultimate Oyakudon (¥8000) at MARU in Tokyo and yknow what? I can't believe it but the star of the show was actually the Amakusa Daio Chicken. It's one of the biggest chicken breeds and has the 'cleanest' and most premium chicken taste!

This bowl is embellished with a lot of luxurious ingredients like ikura, fish roe, foie gras, black truffle, and a gorgeous egg yolk, but honestly, the chicken stole the show. So much so that I ordered another chicken thigh and I think that if you don't wanna splurge on the other ingredients, you can still enjoy their chicken that's grilled to perfection!

Please also don't sleep on the izakaya skewers, I had gizzard and heart and they were seriously incredibly good! Probably the best I've had!

With all my heart I really think that Toyosu is waaaaay more worth visiting than Tsukiji Outer Market which does currently feel more like a tourist trap to me!

Easily Top #3 when it comes to steak in Singapore for me. serves an awesome Hokkaido cross-breed of the Black Wagyu + the Angus Bull - the result? Fatty Juicy flavours with that lean bite. You'll know from the first bite, and a 250g portion filled me up enough cos it was rich 🤩

My goodness me 📍: @ club street was an experience. Been seeing post about and it was finally my turn to try!

Absolutely favourites were the Stuffed Zuchhini Flowers, Oxtail Nuggets, Beef Tongue & Gribiche Sandwich! But the ones that STOLE THE SHOW ✨️ were definitely the Taleggio Agnolotti with Girolles d Kampot Pepper and the Whole Heritage Chicken with Sunchokes and Kale 🤩

I can't wait to go back and try the lamb! Lord have mercy. This food got me excited!
