Prayer To Jesus Nazarene For The Souls In Purgatory

Oh dear Jesus, for the sake of the blood you shed in Gethsemane, have mercy of the Souls of my near relatives, who are suffering in Purgatory.

Our dear Jesus Nazarene,
We strongly beseech you,
For the sake of your blessed Blood,
Take them soon to Heaven with you.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Eternal rest …

Oh dear Jesus, for the sake of the cruel scourging you endured bound to the pillar, have mercy of the Souls of my relatives and friends, who are suffering in Purgatory.

Our dear Jesus Nazarene,
We strongly beseech you,
For the sake of your blessed Blood,
Take them soon to Heaven with you.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Eternal rest …

Oh dear Jesus, for the sake of the terribly painful crown of thorns inflicted on your sacred head, have mercy of the souls who are mostly forgotten and needy of prayers, and of those who need so much more time to leave Purgatory.

For the sake of your blessed Blood,
Take them soon to Heaven with you.

Oh dear Jesus, for the sake of those painful steps you walked whilst carrying the cross, have mercy of that soul who is about to leave Purgatory; and for the sake of the suffering you endured with your Most Holy Mother when you met on the Calvary, free those souls, who were devout of your Loving Mother, from Purgatory.

Oh dear Jesus, for the sake of your Holy Body laid on the cross, for the sake of your Holy hands and feet nailed to the cross, for the sake of your Holy Side pierced with a spear, have mercy and compassion through the prayers of those obliged to pray for them; free them from the terrible suffering they are going through and lead them into eternal joy.

PRAYER
Oh dear souls, who are enduring so much suffering, I promise you to never forget you, and to pray constantly to God so that you may be free; and for this offering I am making you I pray you grant me from God, who listens to your prayers for the good of people, to free us from bodily harm. I pray for myself, my friends, my benefactors and enemies, forgiveness of sins, salvation of our souls by keeping on the right path till the end of our lives. Guard me from contempt, sickness and all sorrow. Grant me peace of heart, help me in all my actions, defend me in all I need for the soul and the body, give me patience and keep me safe from harm.
Pray for the Pope, for the exaltation of the Holy Church, for peace between nations, for everyone’s peace of heart, and pray that we may all rejoice in Heaven (pray for a petition from the Souls of Purgatory).
Oh dear Jesus have mercy.

The phrase "each Hail Mary is a blow to the devil" comes from a quote attributed to Father Gabriele Amorth, a famous exorcist, who said that during an exorcism, the devil stated, "Every Hail Mary of the Rosary is a blow to my head; if Christians knew the power of the Rosary, it would be the end of me!

St. Gertrude the Great is invoked often, for prayers for the poor souls in purgatory. She had a deep empathy for those souls in purgatory, and would ask God at each mass to have mercy on them.

Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great that the following prayer would release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it was said. The prayer was later extended to include living sinners.

St. Gertrude as we wish you a very Happy Feast we venerate you for being blessed by Jesus with visions of the suffering souls and to whom the Lord Himself appeared and gave you a powerful prayer to pass on to us which delivers countless number of holy souls, intercede for us miserable sinners and unworthy as we are, as we recite this powerful prayer beseech the lord to empty purgatory on our behalf by letting His most precious blood fall on the poor helpless holy souls of our suffering brethren especially the ones who have passed away from our hearts, homes and our lives (mention names_____) and the ones who are most abandoned and forgotten lying at the depth of purgatory crying bitterly because they are destitute and without spiritual aid and to deliver them today to His kingdom of the blessed where they will prostrate themselves before the throne of grace in grateful thanks and praise and behold the beatific vision. Amen🙏

Eternal Father I offer You the most precious blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen †
