Canberra Data Centres (CDC) has announced plans to develop Western Australia's largest AI and advanced technology data centre campus in Maddington, 20 km southeast of Perth. The first stage of the project, valued at AUD 415 million, is expected to be operational by 2026 and will deliver up to 200 megawatts of high-density capacity. Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility will incorporate advanced liquid cooling technologies and a closed-loop system that ensures zero water consumption for primary cooling. This development aims to strengthen Western Australia's position in the digital economy and support critical infrastructure sectors such as government, research, defence, and technology.
