For our July edition, we welcome The Hague-based sound designer and producer Edward J (formerly Generate) to our series. He is known for exploring the space between abstract textures and emotional melodies and is also regarded as one of the key figures in the INDEX collective and the ‘Sonic Waves’ event series in The Hague.

His diverse background—ranging from IDM and intricate jungle rhythms on Terra Atomika to collaborative works on Antilounge Records —shapes this curated mix, which seamlessly blends ambient, electro, IDM, and bass music.

Speaking about the intention behind this selection, Edward says:

“So much incredible music stays hidden, even though it’s easily on the same level as what’s much more known. I added a lot of tracks from friends and people close to me who make amazing work. Making this mix helped me slow things down and find some clarity in the chaos and steady my mind a bit.”
