Lindsey Own is a STEM educator with over 20 years of experience, and for the past 8 years, she has led a pioneering program for students in Seattle, USA. Her work focuses on nurturing problem-solving, design thinking, emotional intelligence, and technical skills in learners from preschool through 8th grade. Lindsey has earned international recognition for her cross-curricular projects that integrate the maker movement and constructionist learning into both STEM and the humanities.

She believes that STEM alone are not enough to prepare future problem-solvers. Students also need empathy, creativity, bravery, and collaboration—and great STEM education can help cultivate those essential human skills
