With Singapore’s 60th National Day — the Diamond Jubilee — on the horizon, we ideated a concept that bridges the nation’s storied past with its bright future.

We reimagined Sang Nila Utama, not just as a historical figure, but as a visionary.

A moonlit encounter with a mysterious crimson beast of legend — a symbol of destiny — causes him to experience powerful visions: the birth of Singapore, its trials under a foreign yoke, eventual independence, and hard-won prosperity. As Sang Nila Utama emerges from this prophetic trance, just as his entourage finds him, the story leaves viewers with a sense of wonder and uncertainty — was it a dream, or fate?

It's a symbolic journey that mirrors Singapore’s own turbulent path over the recorded 700 years, crafted to inspire reflection, introspection and most importantly, pride, during this milestone Diamond Jubilee.
