ICYMI - Young Lions 1-2 Balestier Khalsa

There was late drama in SPL match between the Young Lions and Balestier Khalsa last night as the Tigers roared back from a goal down to win 2-1 with a late, late worldie by Elijah Lim (90' +10')!

The Young Lions had gone ahead early in the 7th min with a penalty by Sergio Mendonca but Balestier hit back almost immediately with a goal by Masahiro Sugita in the 13th min.

The two sides were unable to add further goals after that despite some good chances and the match was seemingly drifting to a 1-1 stalemate when Lim picked up the ball at the outside the box and unleashed a brilliant effort that arrowed into the top corner right at the death to seal Balestier's first win of the season.

What a goal! Worthy of winning any match indeed!
