The CNY 2026 Demo & Workshop by Jun Lim was a delightful and inspiring Sunday afternoon for all who attended 🌸

Jun was witty, engaging, and generous with her explanations, walking participants through her creative process with clarity and humour. The audience responded enthusiastically, asking many thoughtful questions throughout the session.

During the demonstration, Jun showcased three stunning floral designs. Her structural work was detailed and meticulous, and each completed piece drew admiration as she wowed the audience time and again. The fourth design, created as a sample for the hands-on workshop, was intentionally smaller and simpler — making it perfect for participants to follow.

After a 30-minute high tea break, everyone quickly settled in to start work on their own pieces. Jun and her assistant, Jacqueline, patiently guided participants throughout the session, offering encouragement, tips, and hands-on assistance.

By the end of the workshop, participants took home not only their creations, but also many useful tips and tricks — with three special designer pieces finding new homes as well.

We hope everyone walked away with wonderful memories, new techniques, and fresh materials to explore.

A heartfelt thank you to Jun Lim for creating such a wonderful and meaningful experience on a Sunday afternoon.

FDSS wrapped up the year in festive style on 6 December 2025 at the cozy Creativeworkz Studio, where members and guests gathered for an afternoon of fun, bonding and celebration.
The studio was filled with smiles and laughter as everyone joined in lively Christmas Trivia and Symbols games.

Our “Everybody Wins!” Lucky Draw came with a twist—the first 20 participants selected their prizes blind-box style! The remaining festive hampers found their way to the lucky winners, with the top prize being an exciting 3D2N staycation.

No celebration is complete without good food, and the afternoon featured a delightful spread of sweet treats, savoury bites, and refreshing salads. In true FDSS spirit of sharing and learning, everyone also enjoyed a hands-on floral activity, creating charming floral arrangements on bottles under the guidance of Ta Quynh Giang.

There was also a mini-exhibition of awe-inspiring floral works using bottles specially designed by the committee members.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the wonderful team behind this memorable event!

Trees of the world organised by NParks.

FDSS is once again part of this tradition. Our tree was allocated and Diana Tung and Christina Pang AIFD, CFD, went to check it out for location, size and variety.

Our team of three musketeers consisting of Philip Foo, Denmy Lam and Diana Tung were tasked to design and set up.

With the additional pair of helping hands, Peter Chin joined them. And Jessica Tak heloing in preparation. What a fabulous tree created with snow flakes hand made by Diana.

Together the team met up and discuss and design and prepare and prepare and prepare and plan and plan and prepare AND made great progress with their design and we all loved it! Thank you to the 4 of them for taking up the task! Bravo!

And what better way to celebrate the completion with a lunch together.

Great fun! Wonferful gathering! Fabulous vibes!

An event that is packed full of activities and laughter!

We had a hands on session with Damien Koh PFCI, AIFD, CFD. He shared simple but effective methods to constructing a structural design with hoola hoops and pipe cleaners!

We have additional stations set up for guests and visitors who could not sign up as hands on was sold out!

Chiu Fang led paper rose making station.
Peter was on leaf weaving station.
Nina was busy making floral lantern at her station.
Denmy and Jessica shared and made corsages at their station.

Guests were thrilled to have many hands on with the many talents within FDSS.

Dear Fellow Members and Friends,

This is a reminder about the Mid Autumn Festival Celebration scheduled for Saturday, 4 October 2025. Your attendance and participation would be a great support and acknowledgement for the committee.

We also want to highlight a unique opportunity to receive exceptional floral tutelage from Damien Koh PFCI AIFD CFD. It is rare for him to set aside time from his busy schedule to conduct a demonstration and workshop exclusively for our members.
