We may be biased, but the Soča is often described as exactly that — and one look at its colour explains why.

Its famous emerald glow is nature’s own masterpiece: crystal-clear Alpine water flowing through a landscape of limestone and dolomite, while fine mineral particles reflect the sunlight in shades of turquoise and deep green. Depending on the light, depth and flow, the river never looks exactly the same twice.

Have you conquered the iconic Svinjak yet? ⛰️

Known as the “Matterhorn of Bovec”, this striking 1,653-metre peak is one of the most recognisable sights in the Soča Valley — and an unforgettable hiking challenge 😍💪

The marked trail begins in nearby Kal–Koritnica and takes around 3 hours to reach the summit. The climb is steep, but the panoramic views over Bovec and the surrounding mountains are worth every step ✨

Malo ohladimo te vroče poletne dni s spominom na sneg. ❄️🏔️
V okviru projekta Krog življenja – skupaj za jutri smo letos skupaj s partnerjem Jožetom Birom izvedli lavinsko delavnico, s katero smo želeli udeležencem približati znanje, ki je pomembno za varnejše in bolj odgovorno gibanje v zimskem gorskem svetu.

Delavnica je bila sestavljena iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. Najprej smo se posvetili osnovam lavinske varnosti, prepoznavanju nevarnosti, načrtovanju ture ter pravilni uporabi lavinske opreme, nato pa smo znanje prenesli še na teren, kjer so udeleženci vadili uporabo lavinske žolne, sonde in lopate ter osnovne postopke iskanja in ukrepanja v primeru plazu.

Projekt Krog življenja – skupaj za jutri skozi različne aktivnosti povezuje lokalno znanje, izkušnje in ljudi ter spodbuja pridobivanje novih veščin, sodelovanje in odgovoren odnos do okolja, v katerem živimo.

Hvala Jožetu za strokovno izvedbo in vsem udeležencem za odlično energijo in sodelovanje. ❄️
